ADITI RAO HYDARI & KALKI FASHION HAD US GO *WOW* AT THE BOMBAY TIMES FASHION WEEK

KALKI Fashion’s exclusive couture collection ‘Mehrang’ was the most color-packed performance at the Bombay Times Fashion Week 2019. With a visual treat for the lovers of all things dark, bold and mysterious the collection was fizzed with glamour and riveted with their innovative details. Bollywood’s big league, Aditi Rao Hydari took up the role of showstopper & dreamed in a signature masterpiece that will haunt you for days! 

The B-Town beauty, Aditi Rao Hydari wore the showstopper ‘Emerald Green Lehenga’ like a dream. With her flawless beauty and her statuesque posture, Aditi Rao Hydari blossomed in the most joyous bridal trends of this season from the collection. 

Representing the modern bride on the ramp, the graceful beauty sported a lehenga which carried varying levels of jaw-dropping jaal exposure with increased coverage of intricate hand-done butti work. And while elaborate gold embellishments and opulent cutwork hem details made a strong showing on the runway, minimalist pastel floral motifs and classic hand stitched blouse presented a bridal counterpoint. Great for a late-autumn soirée or winter wedding, this showstopper lehenga creates a sense of whimsy freshness while still being ultra-sophisticated.

It was a successful show uplifting extraordinary silhouettes with thought-provoking embroideries, packed with details and saturated with brilliant color combinations. The show drew some noteworthy trends, details and fun updates to take a peek at and get a jump on right now, especially if you're in the midst of planning your own big day. 

Taking a detour from the traditional reds and pastels that dominate bridal wear, KALKI Fashion presented a range of alternate colours brides can pick from. The couture collection had a bunch of emerald greens and mosaic teal blues on the runway. Also gave lessons on how to wear champagne and wines and neo-mints to your own wedding functions! The designers curated their collection out of contemporary colours that will please all the young brides to be. 

Long fit-and-flare gowns, tulle dhoti sarees, tailored jackets, slit skirts & no-sleeve cape styles officially had their moments on the ramp. While the sexy, off-shoulder trend isn't going anywhere, the full grown tulip-mirror embroideries on jacket blouses jumped into the mix. 

From a relatively discreet hand-chorded bodice ball gowns to the high-glam draped tops, the down-to-the-floor jade motifs & velvet patches was a "thing" for bridal in the collection. 

Floral details are a wedding dress staple, but KALKI Fashion took flowers to a new level for fall 2019-20 with the most exquisite, so-pretty-you'll-want-to-cry 3D mirror embellishments. 

Layers of silk tulle, extra overlays of opulent hand-embroidered nets and pretty organzas walked down the runway. There's just something about the collection that gives a bride that extra swagger -- which is totally appropriate for a walk-down the aisle.
