The 8 Companies That Own all of the Known Beauty Brands
You may not even realize it but we live in a world where the large companies out there own nearly everything. Most of the products that you buy at the store, although they are made from different manufacturers and are branded differently, are owned by a single large corporation. For example, the Jaguar brand is owned by Tata, an Indian automaker. In the same way, the brands that we use at home every day are typically owned by companies whose names just might shock you.
When you think about beauty brands, there are hundreds out there. Some of the biggest names in the industry include Guess, Marc Jacobs, Nivea, L’Oreal, and more like them. What might not be known by you, though is that most of these companies and brand names are owned by a single group of 8 companies. These are Johnson & Johnson, Unilever and LVMH among others.
Take a look at the small print in the infographic below from DreamModels.dk to take a detailed gander at all the best beauty brands and who actually owns them.
Some of these might leave you gasping in shock, such as when you discover that Christian Dior, Givenchy and Louis Vuitton are all owned by LVMH.
