140 Thane Auto Drivers avail of free groceries under Viviana Mall's Community Connect Initiative

~ Receives remarkable response from customers, auto drivers and traffic authorities alike ~

Mumbai, 5th November 2014: Viviana Mall’s community connect initiative - ‘Hum Saath Saat (60) Hain’ neared a month’s completion with 140 auto drivers across Thane rushing to the mall to claim their hampers. This three month pilot project was kick-started last month owing to frequent consumer feedback of not finding autorickshwas easily outside the mall.

Under this novel initiative, each auto driver queuing up at the mall’s auto stand gets his auto number noted; and each time he picks up a passenger he collects a stamped coupon. On collection of 60 such coupons in a month, he is eligible to avail free groceries worth Rs. 2,000 from the mall.

Ms. Rima, Vice-President, Marketing – Viviana Mall said, “Malls today have emerged as community centres catering to consumers across all age groups. Being a part of the community at large, the mall constantly strives to establish a strong bond with stakeholders across levels. Through our initiative, we have not only addressed the concern expressed by our consumers but also reached out to the auto drivers’ needs in a unique way. While the customer is our priority and our enterprise aims to cater their needs; we are constantly striving to create a sense of loyalty and bonding among the rickshaw drivers. Within a month of its implementation, we have received a phenomenal response from not only our customers but also traffic authorities as it is helping regulate vehicular congestion outside the mall.”

140 auto drivers in Thane received a hamper with an assortment of branded groceries such as wheat flour, rice, oil, sugar and pulses worth Rs. 2,000. This initiative has been launched as a pilot project for three months and the mall will extend it based on the feedback received by consumers.
