Improvisational comedy is comedy like the country has never seen. Improv comedy is NOT STANDUP. The Performers make up everything on the spot and perform scenes/games based on audience suggestions, there are no scripts, no rehearsals, no planning, everything happening is happening right in front of audience, in the moment. Even the audience will have a chance to be on stage and perform some improv games with the players. Because everything is being made up on the spot, no show will ever repeat itself, each show is unique and different. High on audience interaction and sheer energy performance, its a show you definitely should not miss!
Brij Bhakta
Brij Bhakta is weird. He is also an actor, writer, director, and captain of industry (Industry is the name of his boat), He was born in Gujarat, raised in America, and now back in India. A veteran of comedy for the past 15 years. He has trained, toured, and performed with the famed Improv Olympic and The Second City theatres in Chicago respectively (look them up). You may or may not have seen him (your loss if not) on Fox Traveller/National Geographic’s travel show “The Freaky Traveller”, he was the freaky traveller to clarify. Currently residing in Mumbai, his favorite stereotype is Sony. When you see him perform, he wants you to know he loves you, he’s just not IN love with you.
Aadar Malik
AADAR MALIK is an actor performing major theatre productions all over the country. He is now part of the comedy ensemble SCHITZ-EN-GIGGLES, performing stand-up, improvised comedy and sketch shows in India and abroad. A trained musician and song writer, he prefers impressing women with his guitar.
Varun Thakur
Varun Thakur is an Actor Comedian, Performing around the country, he thrills audiences with his witty and charming comic style, bringing a fresh perspective to everyday situations. Being a struggling actor from Bombay he’s rejected on a daily basis by casting directors and rickshawaalas. Varun has acted in a few movies in which hes played the lead actor in a supporting role. His latest film was ‘jab tak hai jaan’ and would like to clarify that Katrina and him are just “good friends”.
Neville shah
Neville Shah is a writer and one of India’s most popular comics. A regular at Canvas Laugh Factory, he has performed both in India and abroad. He is half Parsi and Half Gujarati, making him very confused and very angry. Often deprecating, Neville has a unique (read: strange) view on life. His insightful wit, conversational delivery and honest angst, make his humour relatable and sometimes oddly poignant. He also insists that he is his mother’s son.
Karan Talwar
Karan Talwar spent a decade in the US where he partied too much and lost all his hair. After returning to Mumbai in 2009 he founded Schitzengiggles Comedy – Mumbai’s premier stand up and improv comedy platform. Karan Talwar has entertained audiences at clubs and corporate events all over India and has appeared in Outlook, Elle and India Today magazine and on Zee Cafe (Filmfail Awards).
