Events in Mumbai - World No Tobacco Day at High Street Phoenix on 2 June 2012

High Street Phoenix in association with Indian Cancer Society is taking the Initiative of an awareness drive on World No Tobacco Day, 2nd June 2012

We at Indian Cancer Society and High Street Phoenix are arranging a joint initiative to celebrate this day which will help Spread a social message amongst the youth of Mumbai about the ill effects of chewing Pan, Gutkha and Tobacco which leads to the deadly disease. Since the youth of our country have been indulging themselves in chewing habit of tobacco and smoking which ultimately leads them towards risk of getting Cancer in a very early stage.

Mentioned below are the activities which will happen at High Street Phoenix on 2nd June 2012:

Poster Campaign:
Indian Cancer Society will be doing Poster campaign at High Street Phoenix Mill, Lower Parel. This poster will include effects of Smoking, and various type of cancer caused by smoking. (poster JPGs are attached for your perusal.)

Signature Campaign:
Indian Cancer Society will be doing Signature campaign . In this campaign Dummy Cigarette of size 6ft will be made and will allow public to sign and take a pledge to Quit Tobacco.

Sculpture Exhibition:
A sculpture with the height of 8ft will be displayed at High Street Phoenix which will help us to spread a social message Enclosed please find the design of Sculpture. ( this just a representational image – the actual installation will be make of thermocol, wood, paper, etc. the artists is Khemchand Khadki (a.ka. KK) who is a professional set designer who is quite well known in the that industry.
