A ‘MAADHYAM’ to spread cheer this ‘Joy of Giving Week’

~‘High Street Phoenix’ and ‘United Way Mumbai’ brings together a rare opportunity to bless an underprivileged with your compassion on 7th & 8th October 2013~

Mumbai, 24 September 2013: Someone has truly said ‘For it is in giving that we truly receive’. High Street Phoenix in association with United Way Mumbai celebrates Joy of Giving Week by hosting ‘MAADHYAM’ on 7th & 8th October 2013. MAADHYAM will be the biggest charity festival seeking participation from artists and celebrities spanning several fields connecting various organizations to the NGOs working for different causes.

The pivotal element of the festival is the ‘Wish Tree’, an artistic installation made from recycled materials. Surrounded by stalls and activity zones, the donations received from these will be directed to the tree to put up wishes that one fulfills. The wish tree counter will have various sized leaves & fruits corresponding to the value of a donation.

This 2-day event will see a host of activities, performances, celebrity visits and stalls with goodies on sale. Watch live performances by Indian Idol 6 runner-up Poorvi Koutish and progressive band ‘Coshish’. To support the cause, the latest Indian sensation on YouTube, Shraddha Sharma will also make an appearance crooning few of her popular numbers for the crowd.

Farhan Saeed, the ex-lead vocalist of the band JAL, who has recently launched a single – halka halka suroor and will soon be releasing his solo album, will belt out one or two numbers as well. The very popular comic troupe Schitzengiggles, featuring popular stand-up comics Varun Thakur, Neville Shah, Brij Bhakta, Aadar Malik & Karan Talwar, is coming on board to make the crowd laugh out loud at the event.
