Mumbai, 15^th February 2018: What could be a better plan than attending a music show full of energy right in your city in this beautiful weather under the stars! Put on your dancing shoes and head to High Street Phoenix on 22^nd February 2018, at 6.30 pm as this AWESTRUNG Hari and Sukhmani along with Neeraj Arya’s Kabir Café will make you want to groove to their music!

Known for singing the verses of Sant Kabir with fusion rock music, Neeraj Arya’s Kabir Café has surely come a long way! The band will be performing for the second time at AWESTRUNG but will bring in a new surprise element! Be ready to witness the band’s new single which will be launched right on the AWESTRUNG stage. The name being still under the wraps, the song will have Dohas right from the textbooks that you have read in your school time. Verses taken from different contexts, this song will be different from the other songs of Kabir Café which has mostly been into the folk version of the songs. 

This year the band is also looking for new collaborations across genres but the most important one that the band is looking forward to is with Bombay Bassment which is expected to happen soon.  A collaboration of Folk Fusion with that of reggae/hip-hop will be an absolute wonder!

On the other hand, Hari Sukhmani have been spreading their wings and growing in terms of their popularity all over the country! After performing and touring around India for long, the Punjabi Folk Fusion Electronic Music band now plans to focus on putting their content online so that their music is heard worldwide. To begin with, their first music video for the song ‘Chand guzariya’ is already in the process of being shot with a beautiful story line and will be release in a month or two. Besides this, the two are also planning to release their new songs by mixing the older ones with the help of two mixing engineers- one from Florida and the other one from India. These songs will have videos shot and edited from their performances at festivals, shows and various venues in the past.

On hosting the monthly musical property AWESTRUNG, Mr. Rajendra Kalkar, President (West), The Phoenix Mills Limited said, “ After hosting various kinds of genres at the platform of AWESTRUNG, this month we plan to host two very unique bands which have a strong Indian vibe to their music, yet they have an international blend to their tunes. With every gig, we hope to offer a new experience at Awestrung which is being loved and continues to grow every month.”
