High Street Phoenix says NO to child labor this Childrens’ Day Helped by Jai Hind College, DHARAVI ROCKS & children of Akanksha Foundation

Celebrating Chacha Nehru’s Birthday as Children’s Day has always been one of the fondest memories of everyone’s childhood. This 14th November, High Street Phoenix gives a platform to students of Jai Hind College and children of Akanksha Foundation to showcase a small performance advocating against the perils of child labor. You could also witness a spirited performance by DHARAVI ROCKS, a joint educational music and dance project initiated by Acorn Foundation, an NGO working with slum kids & ragpickers.

The student of Jai Hind College and the Akanksha Foundation will be performing a skit about how child labor has taken away the childhoods of many young kids in our country. Child Labour is one of the evils that we must overcome, and this Children’s day High Street Phoenix, Jai Hind College & Akanksha Foundation would like to spread this awareness through the skit, hoping to bring about a positive change in people’s mindset.

The underlying message is that of every child having the right to dream and cherishing the small joys of life. It is imperative that we as citizens should help eradicate these evils from the society.
