Mumbai, 16th May 2018: This AWESTRUNG, get ready for an energy packed musically-fun evening at High Street Phoenix! The lifestyle destination will be hosting Peter Cat Recording Co. and Alien Chutney at AWESTRUNG for the very first time on 18th May 2018, 6.30 pm onwards. Entry is free. 

The Delhi based indie band- Peter Cat Recording Co. has been one of the very few Indian bands known to be producing unique music. Their music has influences of classic Bollywood & disco, American soul and jazz, African funk, Gypsy & Balkan music & Indian psychedelic and drone music with a production style which marries jazz era liveliness to hip hop experiments. The music acts as a vehicle for crude romantic songs and poetry describing the life of the individual and society in this bleak and difficult period in history. They recently released their album ‘Portrait of Time’ which they are now promoting online and digitally. They are also working on a new album (currently untitled) which is like a departure from all the previous albums they have produced till date. It is the futuristic and a more matured versions of the previous compositions that they have ever composed focusing more on electronic music. They also plan to focus more on the music videos and do international tours. 

Alien Chutney is India's premiere comedy-rock band consisting of Vir Das, Sidd Coutto (Tough On Tobacco, Zero), Johan Pais (Tough on Tobacco), Kaizad Gherda and Apurv Isaac. Brain child of Comedian Vir Das, Alien Chutney is a mix of sophisticated original music with insane and retarded lyrics. Its completely arbid and yet entirely relatable, unexpected and yet familiar. The band believes that they are more of performers and the best way to listen to their music is witnessing their live shows! Their latest song ‘No Means No’ which got released in February 2018, went viral and got a huge popularity due to the social message it gave with some fun. The band will be releasing their new song which is 'I don’t mean to be bitter, but your Twitter makes me shitter' very soon. After performing in Mumbai in 2016, they will now be performing in the city after almost 2 years.
