As yuletide spirit grips the world, winter breeze fills the air, High Street Phoenix is also going fashionably retro by hosting one of India’s favorite pop-rock bands The Other People for yet another edition of their monthly, mega-music property AWESTRUNG happening at the Courtyard right under an open sky full of stars on 18th December 2015.

The six member band with Gavin Cason on Lead Guitar/Vocals, Samuel Berlie on Rhythm Guitar/Vocals, Loy Henriques on Bass Guitar/Vocals, Atish Thomas on Drums & Percussion, Garth D'Mello on Keyboard/Vocals and Zarir Warden on Vocals, will perform old hits, Christmas specials, tracks from their recently launched album, ‘#Dreamers #Believers #Lovers’ (a collection of originals and two covers) and few unreleased songs from an upcoming project.

Launched in August 2015, ‘#Dreamers #Believers #Lovers’ is the debut studio album of The Other People, a band that has managed to stay relevant for over 11 years. The album inspired from Eighties American pop music with upbeat choruses and vanilla lyrics is currently trending on itunes India and has received appreciation from fans and listeners alike. With 11 English songs, ‘#Dreamers #Believers #Lovers’ can be best described as “Modern Pop/Soft Rock”, with the lyrics and the album title summarizing the ethos of how each individual in the world today is a dreamer, believer and lover. The Other People’s set list at High Street Phoenix’s AWESTRUNG will include hit covers, some of their popular originals and their unreleased original composition ‘Never Mind’ which will be a part of their next project.

Opening the show for The Other People will be Shiyana, a 23 year old singer songwriter from Mumbai. She had her first feature release called 'Into The Light' through Vicious Recordings, an Australian Dance Music Label that also signed artists Avicii and Dirty South in their earlier years. For her first feature release, J Cannons ft. Shiyana "Into The Light” charted at #63 on Beatport Progressive House Charts. It also reached 30,000+ views on Youtube via ElectromusicTV. Steve Hart’s Remix of 'Into The Light' has been in the '10 must hear electro-house tracks Chart' on beatport. Shiyana also performed a live version of Into The Light which aired on National Television in India on VH1.
