A mechanical engineer by profession, his strongest childhood memory constitutes him seeing a close cousin play the violin. The experience was to transform him and send him on a journey - away from his mother singer Lata Ramaswamy's, to train under Shri N Kannan and Shri SV Ramachandran. Also a vocal student of Smt. Muthulakshmi Vedanarayan, Mukund blends both technique and soul into every raag he renders.
Since his debut performance at Mumbai's Asthika Samaj in 2000, he has performed at Fine Arts societies across Mumbai, music festivals across India, and is an All India Radio artist. Having performed at numerous platforms offered up by college festivals and competitions as well as more formal stages like Blue Frog, Roger was initially apprehensive about performing at public spaces with the NSPA - "You never know whether your performances will go well, but usually commuters stop to watch and we receive a positive reaction. People are especially not used to seeing a violinist play! It's a completely unique experience.”

With initial training in Hindustani Classical vocals and the harmonium, Rohit now experiments with pieces on his percussion guitar. He has performed at a host of college festivals and competitions.
