Kwality Walls and Zapak gear up for the finals of Paddle Pop Gaming League 2012

The largest gaming tournament for Children in India, Paddle Pop, a property created for Kwality Walls by Zapak Solutions, is in its final stage. Leveraging on the growing passion for gaming among children, Zapak Solutions launched the gaming league in association with Hindustan Unilever in 2008. The finals of the league, scheduled to take place on 6th January, 2013 at Growels 101 Mall, Kandivali, Mumbai, are to be played on a new customized online game created especially for Paddle Pop Gaming League 2012.

Paddle Pop Gaming League, for the past five years, has witnessed immense participation and fervor from children. The tournament attracted a participation of 31,070 children in 2008, 1, 60,000 participants in 2009, Over 7 Lac children from 36 cities participated in PPGL 2010, and 1,002,633 children from 34 cities participated in PPGL 2011. The tournament is a platform for engagement that helps introduce the evolving Adventures of the Paddle pop Lion.

Following the consistent success over the years, Paddle Pop Gaming League 2012 witnessed participation from 14, 48,194 children from 30 cities. The league which follows the Online + Offline format, hosted a 65-day preliminary on www.PaddlePop.in from 15th September to 18th November. Contestants who qualified from the preliminaries played semi finals on Multiplayer Cricket – a popular multiplayer cricket game.

The event will be conducted as an on-ground activity, comprising a combination of preliminary & semi final game. The top scoring team will win the title of ‘Paddle Pop Gaming League Championship of the Year.’
