Jewellery Designer, Falguni Mehta’s Upcoming Line at the Design One Exhibition Brings Back The Magic Of Jadau

Recognised as one of the biggest names in the Jadau jewellery industry, Falguni Mehta now opens her exquisite collection for public viewing at Design One, NSCI Dome SVP Stadium, Worli, Mumbai this 5th & 6th October.

Crafted for the evergreen woman, the entire line ideal for the festive season balances the perfect blend of traditional aesthetics and contemporary sensibilities. Crafted with acute attention to detail, each piece makes for heirloom essentials that can be worn across every styles and generations.

Inspired by the latest celebrity trends, old world Mughal charm and Rajasthani roots, each of the pieces are crafted with never seen before electric art designs. The colors and precious stones used for this collection are regal and vibrant tones rich in pinks, peach, reds and greens. The ​pieces ​are​ also made of precious metals; gold, uncut diamonds, rubies, emeralds and exquisite basra pearls. Since Falguni also borrows plenty of inspiration from her global travels – each of these picks effortlessly exhibit an Indian essence with a universal appeal.

The collection on view, has been curated for a highly discerning clientele who value quality and design. The line ideal for bride’s-to-be and social butterflies will add an exotic Indo-western vibe to outfits contemporary as well as ethnic. The designer also will showcase a limited edition bridal collection complete with coordinated sets and matching designs that are also open to personalisation.

About Falguni Mehta

Jewellery designer Falguni Mehta (Falguni Zaveri) a former national table tennis player, strived always to excel, a discipline set during her sports training days. Having an eye for the unusual & unique, she started re-creating her old jewellery into wearable art, using the now rare Basra pearls to enhance & translate into precious heirloom pieces. These won her accolades followed by appreciating inquiries for owning some of these jewels. Immense gratification in designing something & seeing it being created into an appreciated reality, guided Falguni to look into creating these for discerning clients.
Coming from a jeweller family background & married to a jeweler, gave her an edge with a ready infrastructure. Ten years hence today, Falguni Mehta, mother of two, has established herself a niche in the jadau jewellery business. Exquisitely crafted jewels in textured gold, embellished with precious uncut diamonds & finished with Basra pearls, are her hallmarks today.
Extensive travels around the world brought new influences & insights into her designing, which soon reflected in her creations. She successfully launched each inspired collection, The Byzantium collection, the Moroccan Magic, Precious Fusion, etc. Falguni Mehta has worked with Paresh Maity in translating his vibrant art into jewels forms, creating singular pieces of wearable art. Falguni retails from her studio in Mumbai & exclusively in Prana Lifestyle, Kolkata.
