Mumbai, 15th October 2016: If you were a child of the 90s and loved Indian pop rock music, then ‘Dhoom Pichak Dhoom’ must have surely been on your chart list! Head to High Street Phoenix on the last Friday of this month, as Euphoria will perform live on 28th October 2016, 6.30 pm onwards at the monthly music property, AWESTRUNG! The two year old Mumbai based band, The Yellow Diary known for their soulful songs that are already making waves will open the act for Euphoria.

The Delhi based Rock band- Euphoria was formed by Palash Sen and his friends in 1988 who became the pioneers of the Indian pop music that hit India in the mid nineties. Their albums like Dhoom, Phir Dhoom, Gully and others made a rage and topped the Indian Music Chartbuster. Their latest new single ‘Halla Bol’ addresses nearly everything that has been plaguing India lately, as Palash Sen and his band hit back with peppy trademark Euphoria beats which has been receiving an overwhelming response. The song takes on social media trolls, selfie addicts, and hilariously lampoons celebrities ranging from a popular bhangra rapper to a leading politician, and the anchor of a leading English news channel. The band is currently under the process of making of a short film depicting their journey of 18 years which is slated to be released next month. The video will also be a part of Euphoria’s upcoming album. The band currently comprises of- Dr. Palash Sen, DJ Bhaduri, Prashant, Ashwani Verma, Rakesh Bharadwaj, Vaishali Barua, Krutika Muralidharan, Amborrish Saikia and Vinayak Gupta.

The Experimental Alternative Rock/Pop (Hindi/Punjabi) band- The Yellow Diary was formed in 2014 which was started off by Rajan Batra (vocalist, composer and songwriter) and Himonshu Parikh ((keyboardist, composer and producer) who started a project where they intended to make soulful music with a fresh experimental approach. Later, Himonshu roped in his friend Vaibhav Pani (guitarist), Sahil Shah (drums) and Stuart DaCosta (bassist) that has made the band complete the lineup and is all set to release new material and play live.

On hosting the monthly musical property Awestrung, Mr. Rajendra Kalkar, President (West), The Phoenix Mills Limited said, “Euphoria created magic with their songs in the 90S. We Are hoping to create the same magic at High Street Phoenix when they perform. Consistently, High Street Phoenix has been hosting some of the finest bands and artists of the country at Awestrung.”
